The International Chamber of Shipping has modified its stance towards the ratification by governments of the IMO Ballast Water Management Convention.
Hyde Marine has established agreement for installation of the Hyde GUARDIAN Gold™ Ballast Water Treatment System in international markets.
Commitment is part of Filtersafe’s $10m market-feedback program and will see the company manufacture its filter screens with the more durable 904L grade steel
This certification was officially approved at the International Maritime Organisation’s (IMO) Marine Environment Protection Committee’s 75th session (MEPC 75).
Under the latest contract, PG Flow Solutions will supply a total of five 250 m3/h and two 1,000 m3/h, IMO and USCG approved PG-Hyde ballast water treatment systems to the seven offshore support vessels.
In what marks an important development to the partnership agreement signed in February, and which initially covered the sale and supply of Evoqua’s SeaCURE® System into the Chinese market, Hong-Kong based Hai Cheung will now manufacture and distribute the ballast water management solution under licence in China.
Hai Cheung will initially support Chinese shipyards with the supply and service of Evoqua’s SeaCURE BWMS. In a second phase of the agreement, the Hong Kong-based engineering company will then produce the SeaCURE system under licence to facilitate demand from Chinese yards.
After careful evaluation, Damen Green Solutions has designed a ballast water management system (BWMS) for the Government of Australia’s next-generation Antarctic Supply and Research Vessel (ASRV). This is a significant decision given the arduous conditions in which the vessel will be operating and the pristine nature of the waters surrounding the continent and its ice shelves.
