Global Fight Against Corruption: WSS joins MACN

Alongside the Wilh. Wilhelmsen group, Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) is now a full member of the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN) and will be joining the campaign to eliminate corruption across the maritime industry.

Speaking as the membership was announced, Bjørge Grimholt, WSS President said:

“Membership of a global body such as MACN means that we are able to make an impact in the fight towards eradicating corruption issues across our industry. We believe that working together with MACN is vital if we are to continue to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers and comply with the legal requirements that our business places upon us across our global network.”

    I hope this partnership is able to eradicate the companies/individuals that get the meatiest contracts through bribe or through “friends”. The competition is getting tougher and this benefits the big
    enterprises, that don’t have to fight for their next partnership. They have to start investigating those who are more prominent and have already been involved in tens of scandals.
