OneCare Group recognised as a leader in advancing crew wellbeing, diversity and inclusion in the industry
OneCare Group has been recognised for its outstanding dedication to advancing crew wellbeing, diversity and inclusion within the maritime industry, receiving two major awards this November.
OneCare Group was recognised as the Top Scale-up Winner at the 9th Smart Port Challenge 2025 in Singapore, organised by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and NUS Enterprise, the entrepreneurial heart of the National University of Singapore (NUS). The Top Scale-up Award was sponsored by Reefknot Capital.
The Smart Port Challenge (SPC) is an annual innovation challenge organised by PIER71 to attract startups with breakthrough technology-driven solutions to step forward, and address key challenges faced by the maritime industry.
OneCare Group was also the winner of the Thematic award of PIER71 for Digitalisation, winning the Digitalisation Prize, sponsored by RINA.
This award was closely followed by another achievement at Europort 2025 in Rotterdam, where OneCare Group received the CAREER4SEA Diversity & Inclusion Award for its efforts to promote equality and inclusivity across the industry.
The Singapore award highlights OneCare Group’s innovation in crew health and welfare through OneCare360, an integrated health management system designed to improve the lives and wellbeing of seafarers across the world.
Marinos Kokkinis, CEO of OneCare Group said:
“Our goal has always been to improve how crews are supported.”
“We’ll keep driving innovation that makes maritime healthcare more proactive and more effective.”
OneCare360 uses real-time health monitoring, screening and 24/7 medical and psychological support to help identify risks early and maintain healthier, safer crews. It has already supported more than 5,000 mental health cases and helped prevent over 90 potential loss-of-life incidents.
Mr Kokkinis added:
“This achievement underscores our mission to transform maritime healthcare through our integrated, AI-powered ecosystem for proactive, predictive, and preventive crew health management. In a sector facing rising medical incidents and mental health challenges, we are proud to be shaping a safer, smarter, and more human-centric maritime future.”
As far as OneCare Group’s work with diversity and inclusion is concerned, Stella Kakouri, Associate General Manager, OneCare Group, said:
“We recognise that diversity is not just a corporate goal, but a human reality for seafarers working in multicultural and multinational teams.
Ms Kakouri added:
“Crews come from different nations, cultures, genders, and identities, and our role is to ensure that each individual feels valued, respected and supported. This award is a reminder that diversity and inclusion must never be an afterthought. By embedding diversity, equity, and respect into the heart of maritime life, we not only support individuals but strengthen the entire industry.”
Through its member companies, Marine Medical Solutions, Mental Health Support Solutions, WellAtSea and OneLearn Global, OneCare Group delivers a holistic approach to care, combining health and wellbeing support with diversity training and inclusion initiatives.
Mr Kokkinis added:
“We are truly honoured to receive these awards, which recognise our ongoing commitment to supporting crew wellbeing and promoting diversity.”
